While Los Angeles Fashion Week is often known to be less chaotic than fashion weeks in other cities, the parties always succeed in being memorable. Last Saturday, VFILES Foundation hosted a party at LAFW’s official space, Nya Studios. DJs Giselle Peppers and Baby Lexi kept everyone on their feet as drinks from Juneshine and Casa Azul took everyone off of them.

Half Moon accompanied VFILES founder Julie Anne Quay in addition to models and fashion industry moguls like Slick Woods, Young Paris, MAAD, London Knight, Garrett Carswell, Sophia Amoruso, Margie Plus, Stacey Louise Grant, producers Heavy Mellow, Tank God, and Amorphous. In attendance were also VFILES Lab Fellow David Sabastian, musicians Naz Tokio, Tone Stith, Zach Tabori, Sophie Powers, OGI, Gaidaa, Bailey Bryan, and more.

When Quay launched VFILES in 2012, her mission was to bridge gaps in opportunities and increase creative democracy. To go even further, VFILES Foundation was created in 2021 as a non-profit to uplift artists for systemic change. They offer grants, education, incubation, and other benefits to creatives in underrepresented communities. VFILES Foundation is just one of the new VFILES branches. Other programs include VFILES Education, VFILES Lab, VFILES Discovery, VFILEs Academy, and VFILES Alumni.
