Svitlana Bevza put on a show celebrating and paying homage to her cultural roots for New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2024. The Ukrainian founder and designer chose the Ukrainian Institute of America in Manhattan's Upper East Side as the venue for BEVZA’s Fall-Winter 2024 NYFW show.

The brand is dedicated to embodying the prosperity of Ukrainian culture through a prism of minimalism and sustainability. With the carefully curated collection, they showcased high-quality modern pieces designed with various fabrics and the element of grain. This incorporates the brand’s cultural mission, as Ukraine is one of the world's largest grain exporters.

The collection showcased the rich cultural heritage runway style while showing that luxury can be simple and timeless. The elegant pieces focus on neutral colors with hints of gold and beige on eco-leather, viscose, and sheepskin fabrics. The steadiness of the square shape integrated across all BEVZA collections was shown through each look, specifically with the hand-knitted sweater and coats.

BEVZA is also one of the only brands that can put together a look with an apron. The apron dress features costume fabrics with a cut from an actual apron. Via the show notes,

This was to underline the metaphor of ‘we cook bread.’

The execution of the show was flawless, from the venue selection to the details of elements and the sustainably crafted clothing. BEVZA serves a purpose in representing Ukraine’s history and culture by furthering each creative endeavor to its fullest potential.
