We’re Swooning Over the New Restaurants at Time Out Market

It’s not hard to eat at all of these spots in one day.

When it comes to tourists hitting Brooklyn for some sightseeing, the most popular spots include Dumbo, the Brooklyn Bridge, and Time Out Market. The multi-floor food market along the East River has everything to fulfill your cravings—Mexican, Italian, Thai, Japanese, Southern Comfort, breakfast, dessert, and more.

Before introducing the newest restaurants, we must acknowledge the end of February, which was also Pancake Month. All month long, Time Out Market’s Clinton St. Baking Co. made limited edition pancakes. Pancake flavors included maple bourbon pecan, raspberry chocolate chunk, apple pie pancakes, and triple berry. You still have two days to try the triple berry pancakes, as well as all of their everyday pancakes.

The first new restaurant we tried in Time Out Market was Mori Mori. Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto founded Mori Mori, the world-renowned chef’s first hand roll bar. He puts his own twist on traditional hand rolls, as well as never-done-before hand rolls, including lobster, spicy tuna, scallops, Korean gimbap, cheesesteak, and the New York hot dog.

Upstairs was Tanoreen, a Palestinian/Middle Eastern restaurant created by Rawia Bishara. Opened in 1998 in Bay Ridge, Bishara brought her family heritage and mother’s cooking to Time Out Market. Bishara now works alongside her daughter Jumana, and they make cuisines from the Levant region, such as falafel, lamb kafta kabobs, cheese-laden knafeh, shwarmas, and more.

You can visit Time Out Market every day at 55 Water St., Brooklyn, NY, with restaurant hours ranging from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
