BlackStar to Screen ‘Infiltrators’ in Partnership with Palestine Cinema Days
BlackStar will be screening Khaled Jarrar’s 2012 film Infiltrators at the BlackStar Workshop BOK Building in Philadelphia.
For its second year, the nonprofit film organization BlackStar will participate in FilmLab Palestine’s annual film festival, Palestine Cinema Days. Taking place around the world, FilmLab Palestine and Palestine Cinema Days celebrate the international Palestinian film industry through different backgrounds, stories, and cities in Palestine. And it’s not only films — they are also dedicated to hosting panel discussions, professional film workshops, specialized programs for children, and networking opportunities.
On November 2, BlackStar will be screening Khaled Jarrar’s 2012 film Infiltrators at the BlackStar Workshop BOK Building in Philadelphia. Infiltrators is known as a visceral “road movie” that documents the woes, travails, and injustices that Palestinians face at the barrier of the Palestinian movement in the West Bank. Jarrar’s hand-held camera documentary takes viewers on a bewildering trek of the land occupied by Israel. November 2 is also the dignified anniversary of the Balfour Declaration, and in honor of that, Palestine Cinema Days will screen over 250 films globally.
The screening of Infiltrators is free, with advanced registration required and limited seating. For updates on BlackStar’s participation in Palestine Cinema Days, visit blackstarfest.org. For updates on Palestine Cinema Days’ screenings and locations, visit aflamuna.org.
