Pookie Films: Dear Future Me

Dear Future Me is a photo series that ponders questions we ask ourselves daily.

Dear Future Me may be one of Donte Jones’ most personal collections of work. Jones, also known as Pookie Films, documented his friends and family. He allowed them to express their past, present, and future throughout the creation of the project. The photo series poses the questions, “What’s one thing you can’t live without or that represents who you are?” “If you could go back to the past and tell yourself anything, what would you say?” and “Looking into the future, what’s something you want to accomplish and be able to say to yourself if you can jump forward in time?” As Jones asked his subjects these questions, he began to ask himself the same questions, answering them throughout life and its experiences.
