Daniel Arsham Celebrates 20 Years

Daniel Arsham celebrates his 20th anniversary with The Standard and Perrotin in New York, London, and Bangkok.

To celebrate Daniel Arsham’s 20-year career as a renowned artist, The Standard partnered with Perrotin to reveal his sculptural works, Relics of Kanto Through Time, at The Standard High Line in New York City. Arsham, who collaborated with Pokémon, created larger-than-life sculptures of characters Pikachu, Mewtwo, and Trainer. The artist incorporated his signature eroded technique with green patinated bronze into each sculpture.

Arsham’s collaboration with Pokémon carries out to presentation at The Standard properties in Nanzuka, Parco Museum Tokyo, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, and Perrotin New York. There will be a pop-up at The Shop at The Standard High Line to display exclusive works of Arsham for purchase.

Unrevealed sculptures of Relics of Kanto Through Time will be shown at The Standard, London, this month and at Bangkok Mahanakhon early next year. The Standard and Arsham began collaborating in 2014 when he installed Pixel Cloud at The Standard, East Village’s lobby corridor.

Relics of Kanto Through Time is intended to be Pokémon unearthed in 3020. It will be on view for the remainder of the year at 868 Washington St., New York, NY.
