Amongst the four crowded rooms at Location05 in Chelsea was New York Men’s Day, presented by Hilldun. The one-day, two-part presentations displayed eight menswear, unisex, and genderless designers, many of whom showed at NYFW for the first time.

The designers included Landeros New York, Sivan, Terry Singh, Y.Chroma, Bulan, Pas Une Marque, Tarpley, and The Salting. Whether models or attendees, everyone looked chic at the NYFW kickoff.

Check out our favorite looks from the models and guests photographed by Carmen Mirachian and show photos courtesy of NYMD and Agentry PR.

Landeros New York

Andre Landeros brings his childhood to life in every design. Whether goth, punk, new or wave, music was his most significant muse, especially ‘80s nightlife subculture. He eliminates the gender binary throughout his designs and wants people to feel confident in each piece. Landeros is known for notable figures to wear their pieces, like Billy Porter, Honey Dijon, Fantasia, and more.

Sivan

Jack Sivan is inspired by traditional tailoring. You’ll notice notes of the historic Saville Row and Neapolitan tailoring traditions throughout his designs. This season, the self-taught designer displayed a combination of masculinity and femininity, especially from the Beau Brummel character and a painting from Franz Schubert.

Terry Singh

Growing up in New York City in the 1970s, Terry Singh’s imagination and creativity have never failed to run wild. However, he brought back a rich sense of his culture when he went to India for transformation. His mindset changed. He could translate that into his designs for a strong sense of individuality and self-expression.

Y.Chroma

Founded in 2023, Y.CHROMA highlights the man’s mid-life reinvention through vibrant colors, unique textiles, and unparalleled fits. The brand emphasizes that Y.CHROMA is more than a clothing brand; it is also a teaching brand. The founder, Max Israel, is helping men over 40 find their style and express their individuality.

Bulan

Beam Ratchapol Ngaongam, from Bangkok, Thailand, began his fashion journey as a menswear designer. However, he found a passion for knitting and sewing and never looked back. This season is dedicated to Ngaongam’s mother, the sacrifices she made, their relationship and communication, and her heroic motherhood.

Pas Une Marque

Pas Une Marque is all about asking, “Why?” The Peruvian brand seeks out the philosophy in fashion. They explore design techniques, crafting, and evoking questions while creating clothes.

Tarpley

Tarpley is all about anonymity — to be or to not be seen. The New York City-Nashville brand brings idealism and practicality together to form sustainable, captivating pieces.

The Salting

This season, The Salting took inspiration from the 1954 film On the Waterfront, highlighting dock workers and longshoremen’s power, grit, and sensitivity. You’ll see fabrics and patterns like plaid, buffalo checks, tweed, 1950s chalk stripes, and more.
